Best Outsourcing Companies for UK Businesses (2026)

These four companies work for UK buyers from different countries: two are run from the UK, one lists a contact address in Cyprus and one contracts through a US company, and three of them place staff in South Africa. We picked them for published proof of UK clients, working hours that overlap with the UK day, prices in pounds and UK-facing support, then compared them on screening, prices, minimums, contract terms, track record and account management. Every fact comes from the company's own site, Companies House or a review platform, checked in October 2026.

Before you sign: what to check

  1. How many of the staff's working hours overlap with yours, and which shift the provider will commit to in writing
  2. The currency you're billed in: a price shown in pounds may be charged in US dollars, so the exchange rate moves your monthly cost
  3. The total monthly cost, including setup, placement, IT or salary costs on top of the service fee
  4. Minimum hours, contract length and notice period, plus the fee to hire the person directly later (non-solicitation or buy-out terms)
  5. Who your day-to-day contact is and where they work, and whether a free replacement is offered if the first hire doesn't work out

FAQ

How much does an outsourced staff member cost a UK business?

It depends on the model. Outsourcery's part-time FLEX service starts at £15 an hour with a 20-hour monthly minimum, and VA Connect's UK page lists dedicated packages from £818 ($1,088) a month for 40 hours, charged in US dollars. Talent Shore charges £500 a month per hire plus the hire's salary and a £999 recruitment fee, and Get Ahead VA doesn't publish its rates.

Does the company need to be based in the UK to work well for me?

No. What matters is whether the staff's hours overlap with yours, what currency you're billed in, the notice terms and who supports you day to day. On this list, Talent Shore has a Croydon office and Get Ahead VA's specialists are all UK-based, while Outsourcery lists a contact address in Nicosia, Cyprus but works only with UK businesses, and VA Connect contracts through a US company. Three of the four recruit in South Africa, which is one to two hours ahead of the UK depending on the time of year.

Can I start with part-time help?

Yes, with three of these companies. Outsourcery's FLEX service starts at 20 hours a month on a rolling monthly contract, VA Connect's packages start at 40 hours a month and can be cancelled at any time, and Get Ahead VA has no minimum hours. Talent Shore's employment service runs on a 12-month contract per hire.

Can I hire my outsourced staff member directly later?

Check the contract first. Outsourcery's terms set a non-solicitation fee of £10,000 or 25% of the person's annual cost, whichever is higher, with an £8,000 buy-out available only after 12 months; its RECRUIT option instead charges 20% of first-year salary to hire someone directly from day one. VA Connect lists a one-off permanent placement fee of R88,000, paid in South African rand, and Talent Shore and Get Ahead VA don't publish these terms.

Scores blend our six-criteria rubric (70%) with fit for this page (30%). Prices and terms are as published by each company and checked in October 2026. Spotted an error? Tell us.
